The Department of Nursing and Healthcare [Faculty Science and Health] will be offering a part-time 2 year B.Sc. level 7 degree, commencing this September 2019 and running over 2 years. 

For this programme students will be required to attend one day per week – Tuesdays in year 1 and Thursdays in year 2.

Students must be currently employed as dental nurses with 2 years’ prior learning gained from the work-place.

Application process now open for the National Dental Nurse Training Programme of Ireland

This 16 month training programme offers an opportunity to those currently employed as trainee dental nurses to achieve a formal award. Successful completion of this programme, commencing September 2020, will lead to a Diploma in Dental Nursing (Trinity College Dublin) and will permit entry onto the Voluntary Dental Council Register for Dental Nurses in Ireland.

This programme is modular in design and delivery will be supported by video-conferencing and distance learning methods.  The programme will be offered in Dublin, Cork and Galway (regional centres will be available pending the required number of students applying for these centres). We offer distance learning for geographically remote students (outside of Dublin, Cork and Galway areas).

Undergrad Specialist Certificate in Health Promotion -Oral Health

Open evening (specific to the Discipline of Health Promotion) on Friday 28th February from 6–7pm, at Áras Moyola, NUI Galway.

An overview of the programmes will be presented by the course directors and prospective students can meet and chat with course lecturers and tutors.
