I’ve been working as a dental nurse for more years than I care to count. This is my third time to be on the committee of the IDNA, over previous times I have been newsletter editor, treasurer, chairperson and the first dental nurse representative on the Auxiliary Workers Committee of the Dental Council of Ireland.
I started my dental nursing in general practice and qualified from the evening course, I also have qualifications in Dental Radiography and Conscious Sedation Dental Nursing.
Presently I am one of the Senior Dental Nurses in the Dublin Dental University Hospital. I am also on the panel of examiners for the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses, U.K.
I have been a member of the IDNA committee since March 2017. I qualified as a dental nurse in Edinburgh back in 2003 and have been working in dentistry ever since. I have worked in various positions in the dental industry from dental nursing, reception, sales administration and practice management. I currently work for the HSE Dental and Orthodontic service.
I am the dental nurse representative on the Auxiliary Workers Committee of the Dental Council of Ireland.
In my spare time I enjoy running, cycling, walking my dog and volunteering.
I have worked in specialist and general practise for over 12 years.In 2018 I qualified as a dental nurse from Dublin University Dental Hospital and have been a member of the IDNA since then.I currently work in a general dental practise at Dr.George Miller dental surgery Crumlin Road.
I am the treasurer of the IDNA. I have been dental nursing since 2000. I have been lucky enough to work in various environments and specialties over the years. I am currently working as a Senior Dental Nurse within the HSE. One aspect of my job is working as a dental nurse for the homeless service operating from Merchants Quay.
Erica qualified from Dublin Dental Hospital in 2015 following her two year undergraduate course in Trinity College Dublin. She now works full time in private practice.
